Floor Tile Calculator

Planning your garage floor? Use our simple formula to calculate exactly how many tiles you need β€” no guesswork required.

How to Calculate Your Tile Quantity

Step 1 β€” Measure Your Garage

Measure the length and width of your garage floor in feet.

Step 2 β€” Calculate Your Square Footage

Length (ft) Γ— Width (ft) = Total Square Footage

Example: 20 ft Γ— 22 ft = 440 sq ft

Step 3 β€” Account for Waste & Cuts

Add 10% to your total to account for cuts, waste, and future replacements.

Total Sq Ft Γ— 1.10 = Adjusted Square Footage

Example: 440 Γ— 1.10 = 484 sq ft

Step 4 β€” Divide by Tile Size

Our standard garage floor tiles are 12" Γ— 12" (1 sq ft each).

Adjusted Square Footage = Number of Tiles Needed

Example: 484 sq ft = 484 tiles
